ऐसे कैदी के निकल भागने में सहायता देना, उसे छुड़ाना या संश्रय देना-- जो कोई जानते हुए किसी राजकैदी या युद्धकैदी को विधिपूर्ण अभिरक्षा से निकल भागने में मदद या सहायता देगा, या किसी ऐसे कैदी को छुड़ाएगा, या छुड़ाने का प्रयत्न करेगा, या किसी ऐसे कैदी को, जो विधिपूर्ण अभिरक्षा से निकल भागा है, संश्रय देगा या छिपाएगा या ऐसे कैदी के फिर से पकड़े जाने का प्रतिरोध करेगा या करने का प्रयत्न करेगा, वह [आजीवन कारावास] से या दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि दस वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, दंडित किया जाएगा और वह जुर्माने से भी दंडनीय होगा ।
स्पष्टीकरण-- कोई राजकैदी या युद्धकैदी, जिसे अपने पैरोल पर [भारत] में कतिपय सीमाओं के भीतर, यथेच्छ विचरण की अनुज्ञा है, विधिपूर्ण अभिरक्षा से निकल भागा है, यह तब कहा जाता है, जब वह उन सीमाओं से परे चला जाता है, जिनके भीतर उसे यथेच्छ विचरण की अनुज्ञा है ।
स्पष्टीकरण-- कोई राजकैदी या युद्धकैदी, जिसे अपने पैरोल पर [भारत] में कतिपय सीमाओं के भीतर, यथेच्छ विचरण की अनुज्ञा है, विधिपूर्ण अभिरक्षा से निकल भागा है, यह तब कहा जाता है, जब वह उन सीमाओं से परे चला जाता है, जिनके भीतर उसे यथेच्छ विचरण की अनुज्ञा है ।

Indian Penal Code Section 130
Aiding escape of, rescuing or harbouring such prisoner.-- Whoever knowingly aids or assists any State prisoner or prisoner of war in escaping from lawful custody, or rescues or attempts to rescue any such prisoner, or harbours or conceals any such prisoner who has escaped from lawful custody, or offers or attempts to offer any resistance to the recapture of such prisoner shall be punished with [imprisonment for life], or with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.
Explanation.- A State prisoner or prisoner of war, who is permitted to be at large on his parole within certain limits in [India], is said to escape from lawful custody if he goes beyond the limits within which he is allowed to be at large.
